The Blessing Barn is a finished barn on 10 acres. Lots of space for wedding and reception. Our barn has room for 150+ people. We have a decagonal tent that can be used to seat additional guests. Our barn has 5 bathroom stalls, kitchenette/bar area, small groom area, and a bridal suite. We also provide tables and chairs for 200 guests. We also have lots of extras that are included!!
The rental is for Friday thru Sunday. We want you to ENJOY and cherish your wedding weekend.

About Exploration Acres
Exploration Acres offers couples a barn-style wedding venue to host their special day in Lafayette, Indiana. Owned by the brother-and-sister team of Tim Fitzgerald and Mary Bransetter, the farm was established by their grandparents in the early 1920s. In 2006, renovations began to restore and preserve the buildings that had sustained their family for a century, and the farm was opened to the public in 2008. In addition to supplying a rustic barn setting for events in spring and summer, the property has a corn maze and pumpkin patch in the fall, as well as fire pits and an activity space.
Facilities and Capacity
The 4,000-square-foot barn at Exploration Acres can accommodate up to 250 guests with tables and chairs. Built in 1928, the barn offers a warm setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions from April through mid-August. Couples are welcome to rent the entire barn, or choose sectioned areas that fit their group size, such as the lower level, north loft, south loft, or west addition. There is plenty of parking on-site for guests, as well as climate controlled restrooms that are wheelchair accessible.

Events taking place at Exploration Acres are welcome to bring their own outside vendors onto the property to fulfill their wedding day needs. Folding chairs and tables are include in barn rental packages. Couples can also choose to add-on an outdoor wedding in the woods and country store with a warming kitchen. Other rental items are available for decoration.

Move from the foyer at the entrance to the spacious hall through sliding doors. Neutral tones throughout allows your wedding theme to shine. Outside are views of trees and a pond for an idyllic feeling. For those who want to get ready for their wedding in luxury, the site also boasts a 2,400-square-foot dressing suite. Located inside the home on the property, there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a gathering area, as well as a full kitchen.

Tables and chairs are provided to help you set up the banquet hall and assistance may be provided to aid you with the placement of the furniture in the space. Tables are constructed from wood for a bucolic vibe. A manager ensures that the technical use of the building runs smoothly and a coordinator may be requested as well.
History
The barn and location is a family-owned and operated business. Founders Lisa and Verlyn Fast discovered a passion for event preparation when they hosted their daughter’s wedding in 2016. Soon after, Lisa found herself planning a wedding hosted in a local barn. Taking this experience, she and Verlyn transformed Gathering Acres into a premier wedding event center.

New Journey Farms is a banquet hall wedding venue that is located in Lafayette, Indiana. This building opened in 2019 and was the realization of a dream born four years prior. During a wedding reception, the owners of this establishment began to feel inspired about how to improve the overall wedding experience. In 2018 when they were on the hunt for a venue that suited their oldest daughter’s wedding plans that the true work began. Located across 13 stunning acres, New Journey Farms soon became a reality.
